On July 13, the survey mission of Vietnam Farmers’ Union (VNFU), led by Mr. Luong Quoc Doan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of VNFU had a meeting with Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee on the implementation of Resolution No. 26 - NQ/TW of the 10th Party Central Committee on agriculture, farmers and rural areas.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Chau Van Lam, Secretary of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee affirmed that after 13 years of implementing Resolution 26 - NQ/TW of the Party Central Committee on agriculture, farmers, rural areas and agriculture , farmers and rural areas in Tuyen Quang province have achieved many encouraging results, creating a strong motivation for the locality to continue to innovate, be creative and actively implement the development goals of socio-economic, culture, education, ensuring national defense and security.

According to Mr. Chau Van Lam, in agricultural development, to present, the locality has formed a number of production linkage chains in the development of the forest economy, animal husbandry, creating quality products and improving the quality of goods and the people's life as well. Tuyen Quang province has implemented agricultural restructuring, built and developed a comprehensive agriculture towards modernity, strongly developed industry and services in the countryside. The production value of agriculture, forestry and fishery in the period 2008-2020 increased by an average of 4.4% per year.

The large agricultural commodity production areas of Tuyen Quang province have been formed and have had a positive change towards safe production, improving product quality in association with market demand.
Especially, the province is the leading one in the country in terms of forest coverage. Annually, the province planted over 10,000 hectares of forests, granted certificates according to FSC standards, reaching 35,883 hectares, the large area of timber plantations is 69,862 hectares, the average afforestation productivity is 16m3/ha per year.

Besides the achieved results, according to Mr. Chau Van Lam, in the process of implementing Resolution 26, there are still some limitations such as small investment of businesses in agriculture, less attraction of intellectuals working in the field of agriculture, especially high-tech agriculture, etc.

In the near future, Tuyen Quang will continue to promote investment attraction in this field. Chairman Luong Quoc Doan highly appreciated the achievements of Tuyen Quang province in 13 years of implementing Resolution 26 of the 10th Party Central Committee on agriculture, farmers and rural areas.
He hoped that the leaders of Tuyen Quang province in the coming time would continue to evaluate, propose and recommend to report to the Central Government to develop and issue a new resolution on agriculture , farmers, rural areas, which would be suitable for the new period.
