VNFU Chairman Luong Quoc Doan: Will propose voters' opinions to the Prime Minister
On the morning of April 27, in Tan Chau town, An Giang province, the National Assembly delegation of An Giang province met with voters before the third session, the 15th National Assembly.
Mr. Luong Quoc Doan- Member of the Party Central Committee, VNFU Party Committee Secretary General, VNFU Chairman; Major General Hoang Huu Chien - Deputy Commander cum Chief of Staff of the Vietnam Border Guard and more than 100 voters attended the conference.
Socio-economic development in the 1st Quarter achieved several positive results
On behalf of the National Assembly Delegation, Major General Hoang Huu Chien reported the results of activities of the National Assembly Delegation of An Giang province since the beginning of the year; the proposed content of the third session of the XV National Assembly; and the socio-economic development in the first quarter of the whole country and of An Giang province.
Since the beginning of the year, the Delegation of National Assembly delegation of An Giang province have carried out their tasks according to their assigned functions including: Activities on surveying and monitoring; on organizing the collection of opinions on draft laws and ordinances; on receiving citizens, handling complaints, denunciations, reflections and recommendations; activities on enhancing the social warfare, gratitude activities.
According to Major General Hoang Huu Chien, the socio-economic development in the first 3 months of the year of our country achieved many positive results: GDP growth was quite good, the first quarter was estimated to increase by 5.03% over the same period (in the same period in 2020 it increased by 3.66%, in 2021 increased by 4.72%), notably the service sector increased by 4.58%, nearly 1.5 times higher than the same period in 2020-2021. Thereby, it is creating the confidence in the policies of socio-economic recovery and development, growth expectations continued to be positive in the second quarter and throughout 2022.
The macro-economy is stable, the inflation is controlled, major balances are secured. The average of Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the first quarter was increased by 1.92% over the same period, relatively low compared to the same period in 2018-2021; Financial currency market – was basically stable (as of March 25, credit rate was increased by 4.63% compared to the end of 2021); Budget revenue in the first quarter reached 32.6% of the proposal, up 7.7% over the same period, meeting the needs of spending on epidemic prevention, social warfare, and taking care of policy beneficiaries.
Particularly, the export situation strongly recovered in the month (up 45.5% over the previous month, in general, in the first quarter, it increased by 12.9% over the same period).
A number of key issues will be proposed to the Prime Minister
Voter Nguyen Van Thuy (Long Thanh ward) shared: After the pandemic, the country's economic growth in the first quarter achieved quite good results, it is good. Hopefully, in the future our country will continue the good momentum until the end of the year.
In addition, Mr. Thuy also suggested that the Government should have a policy to stabilize the prices of fertilizers and pesticides, as well as a policy to support input and output prices for products to make people's lives more stable and determined.
Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers' Union Luong Quoc Doan received opinions from the voters
Some voters also commented on the issue of supporting the purchase of household based health insurance.
Receiving opinions from voters, Mr. Luong Quoc Doan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers’ Union, said he would accept the opinions of voters and will discuss with relevant Ministries and Departments and make recommendations to the Government.
Chairman of VNFU Luong Quoc Doan also informed voters of the Government's policies for the Mekong Delta and An Giang in the near future.
VNFU Chairman also said that in May, the Dialogue between farmers and the Prime Minister will be held in Son La province and VNFU will propose to the Prime Minister a number of key issues from the opinions of farmers at the Dialogue including: Status of migrant workers leaving the countryside; processing status in agriculture; export status of 70% raw exports and by unofficial channels with high risks; policy on agricultural land recovery; plant and animal varieties; linkage between farmers and agriculture; building material areas...
At the conference, Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers’ Union Luong Quoc Doan offered 3 water purifiers for the People's Council of Tan Chau town, 30 gifts to 30 poor households ( 1 million VND for each household); Major General Hoang Huu Chien offered 50 million VND for the study promotion fund in Tan Chau town.
