16:00 - 06/01/2023
This morning (6 January), VNFU opened the centre for display, connection, and supporting selling agricultural products at the main office, which is located at 9 Ton That Thuyet Street, Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi.
Mr. Luong Quoc Doan, Member of the Party Central Committee, the Party Committee Secretary General, Chairman of VNFU; Mr. Pham Tien Nam, Standing Vice Chairman of VNFU; Vice Chairpersons of the VNFU: Ms. Bui Thi Thom, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dinh, Ms. Cao Xuan Thu Van, and representatives of the VNFU in 63 provinces and cities attended the opening ceremony.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Cao Xuan Thu Van, VNFU Vice Chairwoman, highly appreciated that the VNFU Supporting Centre for Farmers and Rural Development coordinated with the VNFU Administration Department and VNFU at the provincial level in actively preparing, designing, and implementing the ceremony. Organizing the centre for display, connection, and supporting selling agricultural products at the VNFU main office today was professional with abundant products. Besides, the centre is promised to be a safe place to supply agricultural products with reliable origins and reasonable price for the markets in Hanoi as well as other provinces and cities.
Ms. Cao Xuan Thu Van, VNFU Vice Chairwoman, suggested that the departments of VNFU at the central level and the VNFU at the provincial level continue supporting and giving direction to the resources so that the systems of stores can be increased in scale and quantity.
The VNFU Supporting Centre for Farmers and Rural Development needs to manage and operate the centre for display, connection, and supporting selling agricultural products regularly and effectively; to develop plans to cooperate with VNFU at the provincial level in coordinating with enterprises, cooperatives, and business households to connect and support the agricultural product consumption of members and farmers; and research to create the VNFU e-commerce trading website in order to not only directly connect and sell agricultural products for members but also to connect consumption and sale online.
In addition, the Center cooperates with the VNFU at the provincial level and the VNFU Supporting Centre for Farmers and Rural Development in other provinces to promote the supply of input services in agricultural production in order to help farmers produce professionally and safely and provide clean and standard agricultural products.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Truong Xuan Quy, Director of the VNFU Supporting Centre for Farmers and Rural Development, said that until now, there have been 49 VNFUs at the provincial level that have sent nearly 500 products to participate, and five VNFUs at the provincial level have contacted and registered to participate. The centre for display, connection, and supporting selling agricultural products displays the typical agricultural products of localities, especially products that meet OCOP standards. This is a place to connect producers, distributors, and exporters of agricultural products to countries in the region and around the world and to support the consumption of agricultural products for farmers.
The centre for display, connection, and supporting selling agricultural products is one of the practical and effective activities of the VNFU in response to the "Vietnamese people use Vietnamese goods" campaign, which was launched by the Politburo in 2009. The centre today and the more than 700 stores established and managed by the VNFU will be a tool to support the consumption of agricultural products for farmers and to help farmers to sell agricultural products when they are congested and difficult to consume, and they will contribute to the effective implementation of service and support activities for farmers.
