Farmers’ Competition is a playground under the form of theatricalization aiming to deliver knowledge of agriculture, farmer, rural area and international integration. It also helps increase the exchange of knowledge and experience, and enhance knowledge for officers, members, farmers across the country; guide farmers to enhance the application of technology in production; and establish a modern and advanced farmer model.
Compared to previous years’ competitions, this year’s 4th
Farmers’ Competition has some significant changes, e.g. grassroots level’s officers (Chairman, Vice Chairman of communal FUs) are not allowed to compete, instead this year, contestants are limited to units’ officers, members and farmers; and also at least 40% of each team is required to be female.
About the content, there are 2 new rounds which are “Farmers’ Idea” and “Farmer vs. Farmer”. The “Farmer vs. Farmer” round involves physical activities requiring solidarity, speed and skills. In the “Farmers’ Idea” round, the contestants will have present their ideas, initiatives on protecting farmers’ rights and benefits; building new-type rural area; protecting environment; building strong units; and forming cooporative units and production models which apply technology, produce under chains, and assure food safety, etc.
This year’s contestants are FU’s units’ officers, members and farmers from 63 provinces and cities across the country. The content of the competition includes 5 rounds: Farmers’s Greeting, Let’s answer the question; Who’s the better; Farmers’ Idea; Farmer vs. Farmer.
This year’s competition was launched in 2016 from grassroots level to central level; divided into tables under 4 regions: Tuyen Quang, Thanh Hoa, Khanh Hoa and Can Tho. The semi-finals is to take place in Da Nang and the finals is to be held in Ha Noi.
About prizes, at regional level, there are 8 1st
Prizes with 80 million dong each, 8 2nd
Prizes with 64 million dong each, 8 3rd
Prizes with that of 48 million dong, and encouraging prizes value 5 million dong each; at semi-finals, there are 4 encouraging prizes with 30 million dong each, 4 winners and runners-up will advance to finals; at finals, the winner will receive a 100 million dong prize, the runner-up will receive a 70 million dong prize and there also 2 3rd
prizes with 100 million dong in total.
The Finals and Award Ceremony will be live on VTV2 channel at 8:30 pm on October 1st
