The VNFU cooperated and organized Commencement Ceremony responding “Tet Abor Day for Uncle Ho Comenmoration” in Hoa Binh
In the morning of Feb 13th
2019 (i.e. Jan 09th
of Lunar Calendar), at Doc Kem, Lam Son hamlet – Luong Son district – Hoa Binh province, comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan – Poliburo, President of the National Assembly of the Socialist Repulic of Vietnam initiated the Commencement Ceremony in the response of “Tet Abor Day for Uncle Ho Comenmoration”

The Ceremony was organized in the association of the Vietnam Farmer’s Union (VNFU Central Committee), Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, The Buddhist Sangha of Vietnam, Party Committee and the People’s Committee of Hoa Binh province on the occasion of Lunar New Year celebration in 2019. This activity was made in the response of “Tet Abor Day for Uncle Ho Comenmoration” of national level taken place on 10/02 and initiated by Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Communist Party and President, in Yen Bai.
Ceremomy’s attendants include members of Party Committee including: Mr. Nguyen Hanh Phuc, Chairman of the Office and General Secretary for Vietnam's National Assembly; Mr. Thao Xuan Sung, President of VNFU Central Executive Committee; Mr. Tran Hong Ha, Minister of Environment and Natural Resources; Mrs. Le Thi Nga, Chairman of the Justice Committee of the National Assembly; Mr. Phan Xuan Dung, Chairman of The National Assembly Committee on Science, Technology and Environment; Mrs. Nguyen Thanh Hai, head of the Petitions Committee of the National Assembly; Mr. Bui Van Tinh, Member of Party Committee of Hoa Binh province.
More, the Ceremony attracted leaders of Central Ministries, Departments, standing officials of the VNFU Central Party Committee and leaders of Provincial Committee, People’s Committee, People’s Council, Fatherland Front Committee and Departments, bodies and more than 2,000 of officers, armed forces, union members, peasant and fellow-citizen of Hoa Binh province.
“Despite of facing much difficulties, limitation in resources, the Party and the State have determined to interlace and operate the environmental protection activities, climate change responses into the socio-economic development plant of the country, mobilize the resources, innovation, support of the corporate community and people; determined not to exchange environment for economic growth which cause negative effects to sustainable development.” – Asserted the Chairwoman of the National Assembly.
Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Chairwoman of the National Assembly, highly appreciated the enthusiasmthe cooperation of agencies and units and Hoa Binh provincial authorities to organize the Commencement Ceremoney in response of “Tet Abor Day for Uncle Ho Comenmoration” welcoming Lunar New Year celebration in 2019.
The comrade warmly welcomed the authorities of all levels and fellow-citizen of Hoa Binh province have strongly promoted the plantation movements in the passing years. So far, the movements have continuously developed with hugh spreading capacity and effectiveness; therefore, it partly help reduce poverty and protect the environment of the locality. The comrade requested the VNFU Central Committee, Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources and the authorities of all levels to put more efforts in becoming the core in plantation, forest protection movements and propaganda toward union members and peasants to timely find the deforesting and environmental degradation.
Upon the Commencement Ceremony, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Chairwoman of the National Assembly, Mr. Thao Xuan Sung, President of the VNFU, Mr. Tran Hong Ha – Minister of Environment and Natural Resources and the delegates planted 200 magnolias, more than 2,000 acacia and many other perennials at Subregion 74, Kem hamlet; inaugurated the Commenmoration plantation named “Tet Abor Day for Uncle Ho Comenmoration”.
The National Assembly Chairwoman also gave 30 gifts (valued 2 million VND each) to local households under policy.
