Along with the investment of planting lingzhi mushroom in a farm in Phu Binh hamlet (Phu Hoa Dong commune, Cu Chi district, HCM city), Ms. Ngoc established Nam Viet cooperative of production and trade of agricultural products, associating with more than 100 farmers nationwide to produce lingzhi. Ms. Ngoc was in charge of seed embryos provision, technical guidance and lingzhi buying for farmers.

 

Whereby, the price of seed embryos provided by Nam Viet cooperative is 12,000 VND per can, each can could plant 50 bags. “To get ensured quality of lingzhi, greenhouses must have good temperature between 22 and 30 degrees Celsius, humidity  between 70 and 90 %. Futhermore, keep nursery garden as clean as possible to prevent lingzhi from bacteria, mold, diseases.
 
The mature process of lingzhi mushroom lasted 4 months which calculated from the time of planted embryos, we can harvest between 15 and 25 gram of dried lingzhi mushroom per bag. On farms, the average selling price of dired lingzhi mushroom is between 500,000 and 600,000 VND per kilogram, the first type mushroom can be sold for the price of 1 or 1.2 billion VND per kilogram.
 
Ms. Ngoc explained more: “ a farmer began to plant mushroom, he/she needed 2 greenhouses with a size of 10.000 mushroom embryos for each, he/she must invest less or more than 80 million VND and can get benefit of 2.5-3.5 million VND per month, this income was higher than rice, vegetables here and now”.
 
Currently, Nam Viet company are not only unite with farmers in sourthern provinces but aslo widen the production linkages with farmers in northern provinces such as Vinh Phuc, Cao Bang, etc...Nam Viet company had greenhouses which produce good mushroom embryos to provide farmers in Tien Giang, Dong Nai, Lam Dong, Dong Thap, etc..
 
In order to get stable output market for lingzhi mushroom, Ms. Ngoc have involved in most of domestic trade fairs, agricultural exhibitions and some neighbors like Laos, Cambodia, Thailand.
 
In 2012, Nam Viet company exported lingzhi mushroom to Laos for the first time, also export to Thai Land and Cambodia after that. Domestically, Nam Viet’s mushroom products were being sold at resaling systems and some supermarkets like Co.op Mart, big C, Lotte Mart, etc...As of this moment, Nam Viet Cooperative of production and trade of agricultural products produced more than 5 tons of lingzhi mushroom per month, contributing to stable income and improved lives for over 100 members.
 
With an ambition of broadening output markets, diversified products, Ms. Ngoc is investing  in factory which process and preliminarily process post-harvest mushroom.
 
Ms. Ngoc shared cheerfully: “We are looking forward to purchase orders internationally, processing factory of post-harvest mushroom is going to be built in Quarter no.1 2015 that help Nam Viet company increase the added value as well as meet strict requirements of some fastidious markets like Japan, Korea”
