Coffee production and business development situation in Dak Lak province.

Some Achievements:
Dak Lak Province is located in the Highlands, with natural area of 13,125.4 km2. The Eastern shares border with Phu Yen and Khanh Hoa province, Lam Dong and Dak Nong to the South, the West shares 193 km long border with Cambodia, Gia Lai province to the North. With the climate characteristic influenced by both nature of humid tropical highlands and the dry West-South monsoon and divided into 02 distinct seasons: rainy and dry.

 
Covering an area of about 723,077 ha of basaltic soils, account for 55.6% of the whole Highlands basalt soil. Dak Lak province is one of the most advantages in the country for coffee production and business.
 
Currently, Dak Lak province has total area coffee of 204,390 ha, productivity reached 2.5 tons / ha. Coffee area in Dak Lak province accounts for nearly 41% of the area of Central Highlands coffee and 30% coffee area of the country, with an annual output reached 450,000 tones of green coffee. Coffee industry has had a very important role in the economy of the province.
 
Dak Lak coffee exports have contributed to coffee products being ranked in the group of the country's commodity-value exports billions of dollars each year for many years. Until now, the products of Dak Lak coffee has been exporting to 60 countries and territories in all continents. Coffee products accounted for 86% of agricultural products export, contributing over 60% of total annual revenue of the locality.
 
Coffee is an extremely tree to farmers in the province and has created jobs for more than 300,000 direct employees, more than 100,000 indirect workers and contributed greatly to the development of social-economic development. Farmers' lives have improved, the rate of better-off and rich households increasing. In which, there is a remarkable number of ethnic minorities, remote and isolated people; rapid reduction of poverty, infrastructures have been invested and constructed from coffee exports such as electricity, roads, schools that serve well for production and people's life requirement. The rural areas have increasingly become more prosper.
