Dak Lak took the 1st Prize at the 2017 Central Highlands Farmers’ Competition

(VNFU Website) – Recently, the Central Highlands “Farmers’ Competition” Final took place at Dak Lak Province’s Cultural Center with the title of “Farmers ensure environmental friendly and quality sustainable production”.

 
There were 32 teams which are farmers coming from Dak Nong, Gia Lai, Lam Dong, Dak Lak to participate in the competition. The competition was one of the most important events of  main activities of  the 6th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival and the 2017 Space of Gong Culture in Central Highlands which were held in Buon Ma Thuot City.
 
Each team had to go through 5 rounds which were Farmers’ Talent, Who’s the faster, Farmers’ memory, Farmers Unite and Who’s the better. As a result, the Dak Lak team won the first prize, the Dak Nong team won the second prize and the Gia Lai team won the third prize.
 
The competition aimed to hornor and encourage excellent coffee farmers, create the competitive atmosphere in order to boost coffee production adaptable to climate change, assure food safety, achieve economic efficiency and enhance income. The competition was also a helpful playground giving the coffee farmers the chance to share and learn from each other’s experiences, increase awareness so that they can improve coffee quality.
