According to records of Hanoi Department of Agricultural & Rural Development, in 2018 the value added in agriculture reached 3.6%, marking a new step in agricultural reforming of husbandry, aquaculture accounted for 52.86%; cultivation, forestry accounted for 42.7%.
About the New Countryside progress, the capital now has 4 New-Countryside qualified districts, the two districts Gia Lam & Phuc Tho were inspected and under final documentation to submit to the municipal people’s committee and the Ministry of Agriculture & Rural Development for consideration and evaluation. There were 323/386 communes (which made up 83.68%) qualified as New-Countryside recognition throughout the city, which caused the city to reach its goal 2 years in advance.
According to separated stastistics in 2018, total costs mobilizied for New Countryside Program was over 11,396 billion VND. Of which, the people contributed about 541 billion VND. Besides, in the implementation of the policy of municipal party committee, from 2016 to present, 12 districts have worked together and supported wards in building New Countryside with total costs of over 421 billions, facilitating the locality in reaching New Countryside criteria.
 
 
These figures are evidences which show that the living conditions of the local people keep improving, particularly the per capita income of rural area in 2018 was estimated 46.4 million VND/year; the poverty rate of rural area was reduced from 3.65% (in 2016) down to 1.81% (in late 2018). In the passing year, Hanoi financed over 423 billion VND to reconstruct and repair 4,166 houses for poor households…
According to records of Hanoi Department of Agriculture & Rural Development also, since 2016, total mobilized costs for the 02 Program have been 28,863.7 billion VND, of which 11,300 billion VND has been raised in 2018. Of which, the socialization financing was 3,211.6 billion VND (especially in 2018 with 1,655.2 billion VND).
Dignifying the publicity and democracy
To sustain the captain position in New Countryside progress, Mr. Chu Phu My – Chief of Office for Coordination of New Countryside Program of Hanoi thinks that the important action is propaganda to improve the awareness of the officers, party members, fellow-citizen to create a high unification and consensus in mind and action. In parallel, the city also well performs the publicity, democracy, transparency principles so that our fellow-citizen can be the subject in the New Countryside progress.
Hanoi authorities also focus on implementing the scheme of “one product one commune” in the 2018-2020 period, with further oritentation toward 2030. Supervising and speeding up the wards, towns to develop under New Countryside program in 2018-2020 period in accordance with Decision No.4212/QD-UBND of the municipal people’s committee. Mobilizing many resources to follow up the New Countryside program, from land use rights auction; invest and support enterprises, organizations, individuals, communities and from districts.
Simultaneously, the city shall direct the relevant departments to examine, review and make amendments to the administrative procedures related to follow up the New Countryside Program in a simpler way.
