Training on marketing and business development for 27 participants
During 3-day time, the participants not only had the chance to review products and business plans of cooperatives, cooperative groups, knowledge of and skills in marketing particular products for cooperative and cooperative group in order to make it easier for them to access markets, improve income, conserve and develop forests, increase the value of wood and non-wood forest products, sustainably manage natural resources and at the same time stick to the target and direction set by FFF.
The trainers of this course are experts in marketing, community development and agro-forestry business: Mr. Cao Van Thao, trainer of The North Vietnam College of Agriculture and Rural Development (NVCARD) and Mr. Truong Hao Quang, expert of R&R Consulting.
Throughout the course, the trainers used participatory method combining theory with practice. Also, participants were separated into small groups for each session in order to boost the participation and experience exchange among participants from provinces.
In general, 27 participants had fully attended every session, discussed enthusiastically and worked hard to build business plan for the whole 3 days. After the course, most of the cooperatives and cooperative groups were able to form their own marketing strategy and business plan their selected products, understand about elements of the value chain as well as enhancing the production of high quality organic products. However, as marketing requires a new approach, new skills and knowledge, participants that are farmers need more time to adopt, apply, and also support of facilitators from all levels of FU.
