This morning (November 30) at Lam Vien square, Da Lat city (Lam Dong), Central Committee of Vietnam Farmers Union and People's Committee of Lam Dong province opened the program of friendship meeting with farmers from Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia in combination with Green Agricultural Product Fair.

The ceremony was attended by members of the Central Committee's, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers Union Thao Xuan Sung together with Vice Chairman of the Union Dinh Khac Dinh, Nguyen Xuan Dinh, leaders of departments and units of the Central Committee and leaders of Farmer Union of 63 provinces and cities. On Lam Dong province side, there were comrades: Tran Duc Quan, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham S, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Thi Le, Head of the Provincial People’s Committee and the leaders of the departments, branches in the province.

On the international guests’ side, there were comrades: Mê-a Pi-sét, Deputy Secretary of State, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries of Cambodia, Head of the delegation of the Kingdom of Cambodia; Nhi-a-ker-ya Noo-chông-tua, Vice Chairman, Lao Front for National Construction, Head of Delegation of Lao PDR.

There was also the participation of delegates, farmers, businesses of 3 countries: Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.
 
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Dinh Khac Dinh - Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers Union said: “The program of friendship between three countries of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia in combination with the green agricultural product fair” is an opportunity to strengthen the special solidarity, friendship and comprehensive cooperation between three countries in agricultural production and agricultural product consumption.
 
In addition, the program also helped capture the needs of expanding production and consumption markets, promoting opportunities for cooperation, connection in production and export of agricultural products between three countries; introducing agricultural production achievements in the direction of high technology and typical agricultural products, assisting enterprises in promoting and approaching the domestic market and export”.
 
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Mê-a Pi-sét, Deputy Secretary of State, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Cambodia, Head of the delegation of the Kingdom of Cambodia shared: “The Cambodian delegation participated in the Program with 30 members, including leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, businesses and 15 well-performing farmers. The purpose of this exchange is to give businesses and farmers the opportunity to exchange experiences in developing agriculture, especially in producing green agricultural products.
 
He also added that the Government always encourages domestic enterprises and companies to ensure the production of hygiene and safety food and foodstuffs.
 
Besides, he also provided with some features of Cambodian agriculture that has thriven from poverty, now Cambodia has started to export quality rice to the world.
 
Green agricultural product fair with the participation of businesses from three countries Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia with more than 255 booths displaying and introducing products. This is a meaningful activity, to honor the achievements of farmers in three countries. The fair is an opportunity for farmers from three countries to introduce products, exchange, connect and share experiences to provide increasingly quality agricultural products.
