The leaders together performed the ceremony of pressing the opening button "Week of plums and safe agricultural products in Son La and other provinces in 2023"

Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Luong Quoc Doan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Union, Chairman of VNFU; Mr. Nguyen Huu Dong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Delegation of the 15th National Assembly of Son La province.

 
Attending at the ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Duy Thanh- Member of the National Assembly Finance Committee, National Assembly deputies, National Assembly Delegation of Ca Mau province; Dinh Cong Sy - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Education. On the side of VNFU, there were comrades: Pham Tien Nam- Standing Vice Chairman; Cao Xuan Thu Van - Vice Chairwoman and representatives of leaders of departments and units of VNFU.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of VNFU Cao Xuan Thu Van said: For many years, the FUs at all levels have been and continued to accompany and support enterprises and cooperatives in connecting and promoting the consumption of agricultural products; especially products recognized by OCOP and other standards through many activities, mainly trade promotion activities to affirm the brand value of agricultural products in domestic and foreign markets.

 
In addition to the trade promotion activities of agricultural products associated with the implementation of the campaign "Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese products" directed and organized by VNFU, in recent time, the VNFU has coordinated with many ministries, branches and provinces to organize many activities to promote the trading of agricultural products associated with important events. For example: Prime Minister's Conference with farmers; Proud Vietnamese Farmers Program; Commendation of good production and business farmers; Rice Festivals in the Mekong Delta, OCOP Vietnam Fruit and Product Festival, etc. These activities is to help the enterprises, cooperatives and farmers to introduce and expand their partnership and markets; strengthen cooperation and linkage among regions throughout the country towards international markets.
 
 
Notably, through the opening activity "Week of plums and safe agricultural products in Son La and other provinces in 2023"; The signing ceremony of bringing the Son La's plum on Vietnam Airlines flights in 2023 also vividly represents the signing of a comprehensive cooperation agreement between VNFU and Son La province on the coordination program between VNFU and Son La Provincial Party Committee in the period of 2022-2025.

 
“Along with the careful preparation of the Organizing Committee, the active participation of organizations, individuals and the FUs of 14 provinces and cities significantly contributed to the success of the Week of plums and agricultural products in Son La and other provinces in 2023" emphasized Vice Chairwoman Cao Xuan Thu Van.
 

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong - Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee said: The event of plum week, safe agricultural products in Son La and other provinces in 2023 is organized as a specific demonstration for the coordination of VNFU, Hanoi city, Vietnam Central Retail Group, Big C Thang Long Super market with Son La province.

 
“We consider this an important event and a good opportunity to bring agricultural products and safe food from Son La province into Hanoi, other provinces and cities market. From there, connecting with domestic and export markets; create breakthroughs in production organization, improve product quality, build brands, promote trading of agricultural products, and raise people's incomes and their living standards," affirmed Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Cong.

 
Comrade Nguyen Thanh Cong suggested that central agencies, ministries, provinces and cities attending this event continue to support Son La province in the consumption of products, putting the products on the e-commerce platforms, on the other hand, introduce enterprises and traders participating in the consumption of agricultural products and fruits of Son La province at supermarkets, retail distributors, wholesale markets, traditional markets…
 

At the opening ceremony, Central Retail Vietnam Group signed the agricultural product consumption agreements with Son La and other provinces; signed the agricultural product consumption agreement with enterprises and cooperatives of Son La and other provinces. Also took place in ceremony was the signing ceremony to bring plum fruit after Son La on Vietnam Airlines flights in 2023.

 
"Week of plums and safe agricultural products in Son La and other provinces in 2023" takes place continuously for 5 days (from June 1 to June 5, 2023) at Big C Thang Long Super market - Address at 222 Tran Duy Hung, Trung Hoa Ward, Cau Giay District, Hanoi. Events with 60 booths of organizations; enterprises; cooperative; FUs of 14 provinces and cities with diverse and qualitied products are introduced to consumers in Hanoi capital and neighboring provinces.

 
Many safe and typical agricultural products of Son La province were introduced at the event such as: plum, mango, tea, longan, avocado, custard apple, dragon fruit, jackfruit, guava, vegetables; processed products such as tea, coffee, dried fruit, vermicelli... This is an opportunity for Hanoians to experience and enjoy specialty products that meet VietGAP, globalGAP, food safety standards, OCOP, Organic of Son La province.
