There are some typical models of farmers’ professional branches and groups as follows:

In the period 2016 - 2019, 404 cooperatives and 2,212 cooperative groups were established on the basis of farmers’ professional branches and groups supported by VNFU at province and city level.

Through the models, the renovation of member gathering has been shown, in which,  most of the shortcomings, limitations, difficulties and weaknesses in working activities of traditional branches and groups have been overcome, contributing to the building of more spotless and stronger FUs at grassroot level.

Besides, production linkage models have been developed to support farmers with their cooperation in the production and business, form a mind of value chain - based - production, thereby, the production of goods, application of science and technology have been promoted, productivity, product quality and value have been improved.

The models of farmers’ professional branches and groups have created a linkage between building a strong FU and local socio-economic development, sustainable agricultural development and building a new countryside through the linkage and cooperation of members in their production and business, created a premise for collective economic development with the core of cooperatives and cooperative groups in agriculture and rural areas.

From the actual situation, building the models of farmers’ professional branches and groups is a solution to renovate the content, mode of operation, method of solidarity, gathering and attracting members to VNFU based on Conclusion No. 62 - KL /TW dated December 8, 2009 of the Xth Secretariat on continuing to renew the content and operation modes of Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations.

Moreover, thanks to the models of farmers’ professional branches and groups,  many solutions to difficulties and shortcomings in the operation and working activities of FU branches and groups in the last year such as irregular working activities, inabundant contents, low rate of members participating in working activities… The working activities of the farmers’ professional branches and groups have attracted the attention of their members with more regular meeting from 01 session per 03 months to 03 sessions per month or more time. Besides, instead of the need to have allowances for the branch and group in the past, it is not a problem at the moment.

The contents of activities of  farmers’ professional branches and groups are more plentiful and practical such as exchanging information on agricultural weather, market, prices, agricultural equipment, materials, means of production, varieties of plants and animals; disseminating and sharing experiences in production, prevention of epidemics, diseases, preservation, processing and sales of agricultural products, innovations, creation and application of scientific and technical advances into production; developing production and business projects, loan procedures, effective management and using of loans to build business and service models to improve the value and competitiveness of products, help members to have jobs, stable income in addition to hunger eradication, poverty reduction and sustainable enrichment.

The branches and groups have contributed to building solidarity, mutual sentiment, sharing and mutual help in production and business, encouraging each other to build a prosperous and happy family, nurturing sentiment in the neighborhood…

The pioneering, exemplary, dynamic, creative and responsible spirit of members have been promoted. Besides, members have placed their greater trust and stronger attachment to the FU. The quality of FU officials at grassroots level, especially the ones in farmers’ professional branches and groups has been significantly improved, more dynamic, creative with better management skills, cohesion, higher community responsibility, which has contributed to the building of FU, socio-economic development, maintaining security and order in the rural areas, developing the political system at the grassroots level.
