Ha Tinh Province Farmers' Union organizes tours for farmer members to visit the typical model and learn from experiences.

    The Union has mobilized members to form joint ventures and production links with organic production enterprises; supported the renovation of 48 mixed gardens, 5 toilets, livestock facilities, and the installation of 13 domestic wastewater treatment facilities; supported seeds of plants, vegetables, and chickens for 214 poor and near-poor households worth over 170 million VND; mobilized labor days to replant rice and gave gifts to households in difficult circumstances.

    Typically, the Huong Son District Farmers' Union has over 9,000 members and farmers who achieve the title of excellent farmers at all levels every year. The Union carries out the excellent production and business movement with creative methods such as: Each year choosing a new model and field to support the construction and replication; organizing tours for members to learn from experiences; promoting through images at the branches; providing direct consultation at households; printing and distributing leaflets instructing on production processes, animal husbandry, pest control, etc., thereby contributing to raising awareness and changing the thinking of members and farmers in developing household economy.

    Through the movement, many typical and advanced models have emerged, becoming a destination for members and farmers inside and outside the district to visit and learn from their experiences. Notably, two models of farmer members Ngo Xuan Linh and Pham Ngoc Thuong in Kim Hoa commune were awarded the "Third Class Labor Medal" by the President, five models were selected and honored as "Outstanding Vietnamese Farmers" by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union; every year, many models are commended by the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Farmers' Union, and the District People's Committee.

Up to now, the district has 1,727 models, including 123 large models, 173 medium models, and 1,431 small models. Many models meet VietGAP and OCOP standards of 3 stars or higher, especially the two models of farmer members Pham Ngoc Thuong and Thai Vinh Quang in Kim Hoa commune, which have pioneered the installation of smart agricultural monitoring stations.

    The Union also mobilized the establishment of 18 cooperatives, 110 cooperative groups, 5 professional associations, and 153 professional groups. In addition, promoting the spirit of mutual love, solidarity, and helping each other to get rich and sustainably reduce poverty, the Standing Committee of the District Farmers' Union has launched a campaign among all officials, members, and farmers to help poor households. In the past year, the Union at all levels has helped 258 poor households to renovate their gardens and renovate their houses; there are many models of poor households rising up to escape poverty and get rich sustainably, such as: Nguyen Thi Sinh (Quang Diem commune), Nguyen Bao Dong (Kim Hoa commune).

    The Union at all levels continues to review the activities of cooperatives, cooperative groups, branches, and professional associations; mobilize farmers to participate in digital transformation, link in production development and connect product consumption; register to build production development models in 2025. The Union has mobilized the establishment of new deer farming cooperatives in Son Lam commune (Huong Son district), 02 professional associations for beekeeping (Kim Hoa commune, Huong Son district), general services (Hong Linh town), 03 professional associations for cooking and pig farming (Ha Tinh city, Hong Linh town and Ky Anh town), 02 economic models of alkaline ionized drinking water, general business (Hong Linh town).

    Implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, the Union at all levels organized an environmental sanitation campaign, mobilizing contributions to participate in the construction of New Rural Construction of over 2.1 billion VND; renovated 297 mixed gardens, supported the construction of 31 model gardens; supported the installation of 63 household wastewater treatment pits, launched a campaign to plant shade trees on the roads; built 02 models for collecting waste from fields, 47 models for collecting and classifying household waste; built archways on residential area roads, poured concrete roads, built drainage ditches, paved roadsides, built fences, paved volleyball courts; supported 1,000 banana trees planted in ownerless mixed gardens to raise funds for the Union....

    The Union also mobilized members to register to build a cultural family in 2025; developed 246 new voluntary social insurance books and 2,325 health insurance cards; supported 38 million VND in funding and 2,102 working days to repair and build 82 new houses in Huong Son, Huong Khe districts, etc. under the province's program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses; contributed to sponsoring 03 orphans. At the same time, coordinating the implementation of poverty reduction models and livelihood models, the Union supported 3,240 breeding animals of all kinds and 1,235 kg of animal feed for poor members.

    A typical example is Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa in Hamlet 1, Ha Linh Commune (Huong Khe District), a poor household with no conditions to build a solid house. With support of 70 million VND from all levels and sectors, in March, the District Farmers' Union mobilized more than 20 members to help her family. Together with relatives, members, and farmers, they prepared the ground, dug the foundation, prepared materials for pouring beams, etc. to help Ms. Hoa save on labor costs. The District Farmers' Union also supported Ms. Hoa's family with an additional 5 million VND, contributing to realizing the family's dream of settling down.

    Until now, farmers in the district have contributed more than 670 working days to support the construction of 13 projects. In addition, the Union at all levels continues to support working days in the area to speed up the overall progress, contributing to the locality's early completion of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses.

    The Union also coordinated with businesses and agencies to organize 19 training courses to transfer science and technology to 2,940 members on pineapple cultivation, organic rice and fruit tree production processes, technical processes for taking care of crops and livestock in the spring crop, using fertilizers, pest control measures, using biological products, classifying and treating waste and composting microorganisms at households. At the same time, it provided scientific and technological advice for livestock and aquaculture models.

    The Union has provided over 750 tons of fertilizer for spring crop production, over 4,500 fruit trees, shade trees, 358 tons of peanut and corn seeds; disbursed 1.8 billion VND of the Farmers' Union Fund for projects on deer farming, breeding mink, intercropping aquaculture, melon production in greenhouses, and buffalo farming models.

    The Union supported the connection of consumption of 100 tons of cucumbers and cabbages for members and farmers in the province, 3.4 tons of Ha Giang oranges; promoted 20 OCOP products, safe and quality agricultural products of members and farmers on e-commerce platforms. In addition, the Union organized 45 propaganda sessions on labor export and voluntary health insurance and social insurance. Up to now, 11 workers have completed their documents to go to work abroad in Japan, Taiwan, and Indonesia.

    In the coming time, the Union at all levels will promote mobilizing farmers to build production models according to the province's Organic Agricultural Production Project for the period 2024 - 2030; continue to implement service activities, support farmers in terms of capital, supply of fertilizers, seeds, jobs; promote social insurance, health insurance; train in transferring science and technology, build economic models, collective economy, support connection, promotion and consumption of agricultural products, etc.
