Recently, in the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, which has greatly affected agricultural production and business activities, the VNFU Standing Committee has issued official Letter No 2777 on supporting farmers consume agricultural products. Specifically, assigning the Farmers and Rural Supporting Center (under the Central Committee of VNFU) to act as the focal point and preside and coordinate with the provincial and city Farmers’ Unions and a number of enterprises to strengthen activities to support farmer members in the consumption of agricultural products.


With the support and facilitation of the Hanoi People's Committee, the linking shops and agricultural product consumption were well organized in the city to meet the requirements of Covid-19 disease prevention and control; At the linking and consuming places of agricultural products, both sellers and buyers must strictly comply with the 5K regulations of the Ministry of Health. Accordingly, the Farmer and Rural Supporting Center has cooperated with the Hanoi Farmers' Union, and the Vietnam Green Journey Group Joint Stock Company to organize a linking shop for agricultural products at the address: 33 Nguyen Chi Thanh-Dong Da District- Hanoi City.


At the linking shop, customers can visit, connect to trade and directly buy quality agricultural products that have been controlled by the Covid-19 epidemic at a reasonable price (ensure producers are still profitable and consumers can buy products at low prices).

 
This time is also the time to harvest a lot of vegetables, tubers and fruits of farmers across the country. The agricultural products linked to this model are committed to comply with the process and regulations (from the stage of collection, preliminary processing, packaging, preservation ...) to ensure the product has fresh quality, with clear information about the origin, sourse, time of collection, packing, etc.

 
In order to solve the difficulties of members and farmers, linking and consuming agricultural product activities have taken place actively at all levels of the Farmers’ Union. At the same time, the Union has paid attention and promoted communication on supporting the consumption of agricultural products, information on agricultural product prices, and registration to participate in linking program, etc. As a result, agricultural products are supported for immediate consumption in the provinces and cities; a part of agricultural products are supported for anti-epidemic forces and provided to kitchens serving in isolation areas and industrial parks.


In addition, the city and provincial Farmers’ Unions also actively coordinate with other provincial FUs to take the initiative in ordering and transportation, with full certifications from relevant agencies to ensure sufficient conditions for the prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic. In addition, the agricultural products according to orders and transport for consumption at more than 700 stores are directly or jointly managed by the Union at all levels.

 
This event is expected to take place for about 1 month, starting from June 10, 2021. Until the Covid-19 epidemic situation in Hanoi city will be controlled and loosen the epidemic prevention measures. The coordinating units will continue to open more linking shops - consume other agricultural products to stimulate consumer demand and help farmers. In addition, for convenience in buying and appreciating agricultural products and specialties of regions and areas, consumers can order and purchase goods via phone number.

 

This activity is known that to respond to and implement the coordination program between the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Central Committee of the VNFU, the Central Vietnam Women's Union and the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in building a model of linking shops and consuming agricultural products.
