Participating in the contest were 4 teams with members who were officials and farmer members of Gia Lam, Dong Anh, and Ba Vi district Farmers' Unions implementing the project “Dissemination and Mobilization of Farmers in Waste Transformation in Vietnam to make contribution to the international efforts on reducing emission” (Waste Transformation Project).

Through 3 rounds including Greeting, Knowledgeable Farmer and Talent Farmer, the teams brought to the contest well prepared and artistic performances.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the contest, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Xuan - Vice Chairman of Hanoi Farmers' Union, Deputy Head of the Waste Treatment Project Management Board of the Hanoi Farmers' Union said: Implementing the Waste transformation project of the Central Vietnam Farmers' Union and the direction of the Hanoi City Party Committee and People's Committee, the Hanoi Farmers' Union always identifies environmental protection as one of the key tasks of the Union at all levels.

Every year, Hanoi city Farmers' Union has directed grassroot levels to implement many effective and practical activities, build many models of environmental protection, environmentally friendly models of organic waste treatment, contribute to changing behaviors, living in harmony with the environment, ensuring a bright - green - clean - beautiful environment, building a cultural, civilized and modern capital.

The Best Propagandist contest is a meaningful activity, not only creating a useful playground for propagandists but also an opportunity to share and spread knowledge and practical experience in environmental protection.

Through the contest, Hanoi Farmers' Union hopes to spread and convey the message effectively and convincingly. Since then, Hanoi Farmers' Union has replicated effective waste treatment models in rural communities.
