Attending the meeting, the Laos delegation was led by Mr. Yia Co Ya No Cho Chong Tua, LFNC Vice- Chairman and members of LFNC; representative of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Laos... From VNFU, there were Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dinh- Vice Chairman and leader representatives of VNFU departments and units. 


Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Luong Quoc Doan expressed his joy and welcomed the delegation of LFNC in general and Mr. Yia Co Ya No Cho Chong Tua in particular for their visiting and working with VNFU.


Mr. Luong Quoc Doan emphasized that as the two neighboring countries, the close relationship between the two countries Vietnam - Laos was formed and forged in the history of nation building and defense. The two countries always attach great importance to the special traditional relationship, support each other in all aspects, cross paths together and firmly walk together on the path of renewal and national development towards socialism.


2022 is considered a special year in the relationship between the two countries, chosen by the two Prime Ministers of Vietnam and Laos as the "Year of Friendship and Solidarity between Vietnam-Laos, Laos-Vietnam". The special relationship is being further deepened by the two countries, practically in all fields, making fundamental contributions to the cause of national construction and development of each country.


As a socio-political organization of the peasantry led by the Communist Party of Vietnam, VNFU is very honored and pleased to join hands in preserving and cultivating the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos" affirmed Mr. Luong Quoc Doan.

 
Mr. Luong Quoc Doan shared with Mr. Yia Co Ya No Cho Chong Tua and the Laos delegation about the establishment and growth of VNFU and shared information about the position, roles, functions, tasks, organizational structure and personnel of VNFU at all levels; experiences in implementing VNFU activities and farmers' movements, supporting the development of agriculture, farmers and rural areas sustainably.


The promotion of friendly and cooperative relations between farmers of the two countries, especially in agricultural development, farmers and rural areas plays an important role in the socio-economic development of each country in particular and enhance their position in the region and the world in general. VNFU is very willing to share experiences in its organization and operation as well as discuss cooperation plans between VNFU and LFNC in support of the establishment of the Lao Farmers’ Union.


In 2019, the Lao farmers' delegation led by Mr. Yia Co Ya No Cho Chong Tua – Vice- Chairman of LFNC attended the Friendship Farmers’ Meeting of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia in association with the Clean Agricultural Product Fair organized by VNFU in collaboration with Lam Dong People's Committee. The delegations of Vietnam and Laos agreed to promote activities to strengthen and improve the efficiency of cooperation between farmers and farmers’ organizations of the two countries.


Showing his pleasure when visiting and working at the headquarters of VNFU, Mr. Yia Co Ya No Cho Chong Tua, LFNC Vice-Chairman shared that in order to organize and deploy the Resolution of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party on the Party's Front and mass work in the new period identifying 08 main directions, in which, the first one is that the Central Committee of the Lao Front for National Construction to continue consolidating and enabling for the establishment of social organizations that expand based on professions widely on a spontaneous, volunteer legal basis. The LFNC will be assigned to study and establish the Lao Farmers’ Union to protect the legitimate rights and interests of Lao farmers…


Mr. Yia Co Ya No Cho Chong Tua sincerely showed his gratitude for the warm welcome of VNFU and highly appreciated the information and experiences shared by VNFU Chairman, which was really valuable and useful for the LFNC delegation to prepare for the establishment of Lao Farmers’ Union.

The foundation of a national organization representing the Lao peasant class led by the Lao People's Revolutionary Party is extremely meaningful and will promote people-to-people cooperation, contributing to strengthening the relationship between the two countries. The great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries is sustainable and profound”- emphasized Mr. Luong Quoc Doan.


Within the framework of the visit and work with VNFU, the LFNC delegation will be having a working trip and visit some typical agricultural production models in Tuyen Quang province on December 12-14, 2022.
