Quang Ninh: Provincial Farmers’ Union (FU) and Department of Information and Communications signed a cooperation agreement to support farmers in digital transformation

On the afternoon of July 21, 2021 in Ha Long city, the Provincial FU in collaboration with the Department of Information and Communications held a conference to sign a cooperation agreement to support farmers in digital transformation. 
Accordingly, the two sides have mutually agreed to sign a cooperation agreement focusing on the following four key contents: (1) Propaganda, training, equipping with basic skills and practical capacity to help and farmers, members understand the role and be ready to implement digital transformation in agricultural and rural development; (2) Support to connect businesses who have digital transformation platforms in agriculture and rural areas with farmers, members to choose appropriate solutions and applications in cultivation, husbandry, forestry and fisheries, etc; (3) Introduce farmers, members to grasp, understand and apply digital transformation models in agriculture and rural areas that have been successfully implemented in some localities; (4) Experimenting with the initiative "Each farmer is a trader, each cooperative is an enterprise applying digital technology".
 

The cooperation agreement will contribute to raise the awareness of farmers, members in the province about the role and benefits of digital transformation in agriculture and rural areas; ready-to-apply solutions, platforms and successful digital transformation models; experiences to be ready to implement digital transformation in order to not only improve quality and productivity but also significantly improve management and business methods in the agricultural sector. Since then, the digital transformation in agriculture and rural areas of the province will be promoted, contributing to the successful implementation of Quang Ninh Comprehensive Digital Transformation Project for the period of 2021-2025, with orientation to 2030 in the spirit of the Resolution of the 15th Provincial Party Congress term 2020-2025.
