At the meeting, the two sides discussed about the cooperation opportunities in the application of information technology and science in the development of modern high-tech agriculture, promoting the development of export and trading of agricultural products.
“The motivation for agricultural reform from land policies and the promotion of the roles of household economy has created a lot of achievements. Therefore, when participating in the CPTPP and EVFTA, farmers need to be linked with entrepreneurs, especially high-tech entrepreneurs. Besides, farmers must be liberated by the trader's knowledge, provided with vocational training on increasing production value of key commodities and expanding non-agricultural occupations. VNFU Standing Committee really looks forward to the cooperation with VNPT on the issue ”- emphasized Chairman Thao Xuan Sung.
 
In order for science and technology to promote the remarkable development of the agricultural sector, VNFU and VNPT will conduct research and develop a master project on digitizing and digitally converting the activities of VNFU at all levels; deploy the provision of telecommunications services and information technology applications to serve the work of the Central VNFU; implement the membership management system; develop "Exchange of electronic services and agricultural products"; implement digitalization of member support activities; support and organize the evaluation and disemination to raise the awareness about digital transformation; support farmers to start a business in the future.
