1. Successfully organized the Prime Minister's Conference on dialogue with farmers in 2024

The 6th Prime Minister's Dialogue Conference with Vietnamese Farmers in 2024 with the theme "Arousing desire to get rich to develop a prosperous and happy country; confidently entering a new era", the conference took place on December 31, 2024 at the Government headquarters with online connection to 63 People's Committee points of provinces and cities.

The Prime Minister's Conference on dialogue with Vietnamese farmers in 2024 was chaired and organized by the Central Vietnam Farmers' Union; The two units of Vietnam Farmers' Union: Today's Rural Newspaper/Dan Viet was assigned to directly carry out the conference.

Comrade Pham Minh Chinh - Politburo member, Prime Minister chaired the Conference.

The conference took place in a live format, combined with online. Attending the conference were 300 delegates present directly at the Government Office.

In his concluding remarks, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh raised 9 important groups of issues. The Prime Minister requested party committees and local authorities to periodically dialogue and listen to farmers. The Government issued Resolution 69/NQ-CP promulgating the Government's Action Program to implement Resolution No. 46-NQ/TW dated December 20, 2023 of the Politburo on innovation and quality improvement in the activities of the Vietnam Farmers' Union to meet the requirements of revolutionary tasks in the new period.

On May 11, 2024, the Government issued Resolution 69/NQ-CP promulgating the Government's Action Program to implement Resolution No. 46-NQ/TW dated December 20, 2023 of the Politburo on innovating, improving the quality of activities of the Vietnam Farmers' Union to meet the requirements of revolutionary tasks in the new period. In particular, 7 key tasks and solutions are proposed.

4. The Vietnam Farmers' Union launched the emulation movement "Farmer officials and members actively participate in collective economic development

At the 3rd meeting of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union (session VIII), on July 19, on behalf of the Executive Committee and the Remuneration and Rewards committee of the Union, comrade Luong Quoc Doan - Committee Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Union, Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union launched the emulation movement "Farmer officials and members actively participate in collective economic development" with six important contents.

5. Successfully organized 02 Forums "Listening to farmers" between the Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment.

The Forum takes place in a completely open format, farmers directly ask questions and opinions from their own production practices to the Forum's chairmen, who listen, exchange, and share ideas. Share again in the spirit of "listening together, discussing together".

Before the Forum, the Central Vietnam Farmers' Union organized channels to receive different questions, opinions, and suggestions and received about 1,200 related questions and issues from farmers, cooperative.

At the Forum, more than 20 farmers and cooperatives shared opinions directly; along with more than 300 written comments. The forum is not just a place to "ask and answer", "question and explain", but together create the future of agriculture with the aspiration of prosperity and strength.

- Forum "President of the Vietnam Farmers' Union - Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Listening to what farmers say" takes place on November 24, 2024 in Hanoi, with the theme: "Unlocking land resources belt, towards the goal of NetZero, protecting the rural environment".

Before the Forum, the Central Vietnam Farmers' Union organized a consultation and had more than 1,000 questions, opinions, and suggestions from farmers and cooperatives sent to the Vietnam Farmers' Union and the Ministry of Resources and Environment.

At the Forum, there were more than 20 opinions directly exchanged with the chairmen on 3 related issues, which are: (i) Instructions for implementing the Land Law 2024; (ii) Mechanisms and policies for farmers to participate in green, sustainable production and reduce emissions towards the NetZero goal that Vietnam has committed to; (iii) Issues related to rural environmental protection, waste treatment...

6. Successfully organized the 2nd National Press Awards Ceremony on Vietnam's agriculture, farmers and rural areas in 2024 with many innovations in scale and organizational form.

On the evening of December 10, the 2nd National Press Awards Ceremony on Vietnam's agriculture, farmers and rural areas in 2024 was held in Hanoi. The press award is chaired by the Central Vietnam Farmers' Union, in coordination with the Central Propaganda and Education Department and the Vietnam Journalists Association. Today's Rural Newspaper/Dan Viet is assigned to coordinate with the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development - Agribank to directly organize the implementation.

According to the Organizing Committee of the Award, a new point of this year's award compared to the first year is that in addition to accepting entries for print and electronic newspaper works, the Award also expands the television and radio categories. 7. Honoring 56 "Agricultural Scientists", awarding the 2024 Agricultural Technical Innovation Contest

8. There have been 4 million farmer members installed "Vietnam Farmers App"

In order to concretize Resolution 46 of the Politburo, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union issued Plan No. 27-KH/HNDTW dated April 3, 2024 on the implementation of the Vietnamese Farmers Digital Platform 2024. The plan clearly states the tasks of propagating and mobilizing to guide members and farmers to download, install and activate the Vietnam Farmers Digital Platform, striving to reach 3 million accounts on the Vietnam Farmers App in 2024.

Thanks to the close direction of the Standing Committee and Central Standing Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, along with the participation of Farmers' Unions at all levels and close coordination with the research and development unit VIVAS (unit member of VNPT Technology), as of October 26, 2024, all levels of Unions have successfully completed ahead of the assigned deadline with 4 million members and farmers installing, activating and using the Vietnam Farmer Digital Platform, marking a turning point new in implementing the Union’s work and the farmers' movement.

9. Vietnam Farmers' Union organizes "Towards Dien Bien Phu Program to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (1954 - 2024)"

The Vietnam Farmers' Union has launched a movement to emulate achievements to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory among officials, members, and farmers in association with activities to pay tribute to heroic martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, the family has contributed to the revolution, especially for the generations participating in the Dien Bien Phu campaign. Encourage provinces and cities to have activities and projects to support, help and unite with Dien Bien.

On April 15, the Central Vietnam Farmers' Union organized Towards Dien Bien Phu Program towards the 70th Anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024).

On this occasion, the Central Vietnam Farmers' Union held the inauguration sign ceremony of the project "Dream School", Nam Vi school belonging to Chung Chai Primary Ethnic Boarding School No. 2 with the desire to help children here have a solid and spacious school, so they can study with peace of mind and 3 charity houses for 3 poor households in Nam Vi 2 village, Chung Chai commune (Muong Nhe district).

Decided to add 1 billion VND to the Farmers Support Fund of Dien Bien province, giving 250 gifts to a number of families of war invalids, families of former soldiers, families of poor farmers, improving life qualities towards prosprerous and happy families, contributing to the successful construction of new rural areas.

10. Strengthen international cooperation and people-to-people diplomacy

In 2024, the people-to-people diplomacy and international cooperation activities of the Vietnam Farmers' Union will continue to be paid attention and implemented according to the guidelines and policies of the Party and State, making an important contribution to the success of the Vietnam Farmers' Union. The overall achievement of people's foreign affairs work besides the two pillars of Party foreign affairs and State diplomacy.

The Union has consolidated, maintained and expanded friendly relations and cooperation with 78 bilateral and multilateral partners; promote active membership of the Asian Farmers' Association for Sustainable Rural Development (AFA), World Farmers' Organization (WFO).

In particular, the Vietnam Farmers' Union strengthens friendly relations and cooperation with traditional partners such as Laos and Cuba through organizing bilateral talks and signing 3 Memorandums of Understanding and Memorandum of Understanding.
