At the same time, he highly appreciates the results of coordination between UNFPA and the Vietnam Farmers' Union in implementing gender equality and preventing and combating domestic violence and promoting gender equality over the past many years.

“Personally, I am very proud to have the opportunity to cooperate closely with the Vietnam Farmers' Union. Between the two agencies Vietnam Farmers' Union and UNFPA, we have a long history of development and cooperation. Vice-Chairman Nguyen Xuan Dinh emphasized: The Vietnam Farmers' Union has coordinated with UNFPA in many activities over the past decades. These activities are very effective for Vietnam in general and the Vietnam Farmers' Union in particular.

Activities between UNFPA and the Vietnam Farmers' Union are adjusted to be appropriate with Vietnam's actual conditions. The activities have raised awareness for Vietnamese people in general, farmers, especially men - heads of families about gender equality, preventing domestic violence and enhancing the role of empowering women very effectively.

Vice Chairman Nguyen Xuan Dinh shared: In recent times, Mr. Matt Jackson has had many business trips to provinces and cities in Vietnam, especially mountainous areas that still have many difficulties. Through these field trips, the UNFPA Representative in Vietnam will bring better benefits to the Vietnamese people.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides hope that in the new year 2025 they will continue to be trusted partners, support and accompany each other, and regularly monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the cooperation process to ensure effective use of resources in gender equality and domestic violence prevention and control.
