Meeting to express gratitude to policy beneficiary families on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2025), the Farmers’ Affairs Committee this morning (July 24) in Hanoi held a gathering with officials who are descendants of fallen heroes, war invalids and wounded veterans currently working at the Committee.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Pham Tien Nam, Vice - Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers’ Union (VNFU). Attending the event were Ms. Bui Thi Thom, Vice - Chairwoman of the VNFU Central Committee, leaders of the Farmers’ Affairs Committee and 14 officials and civil servants from families recognized under national social policy.

 

In the spirit of the nation’s noble tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source”, on behalf of the VNFU Party Committee and VNFU Central Committee, Vice - Chairman Pham Tien Nam expressed profound gratitude and respect to Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, fallen heroes, war invalids, wounded veterans and families who have made great contributions to the nation. He also highly appreciated and acknowledged the meaningful contributions of officials and civil servants from such families in their work over the years.

 

“I hope that our officials, who are descendants of fallen heroes, war invalids, and wounded veterans, will continue to uphold their families’ revolutionary tradition and devote themselves even more to the activities of the VNFU and the farmers’ movement, as well as to the country’s overall development. I also urge the leadership of the Farmers’ Affairs Committee to continue paying attention and creating favorable conditions for our staff to fulfill their tasks with excellence,” Vice - Chairman Pham Tien Nam emphasized.

 

At the gathering, Vice - Chairwoman Ms. Bui Thi Thom shared heartfelt reflections, expressing deep respect and appreciation for the sacrifices of policy beneficiary families.

 

Officials who are descendants of these families also shared personal stories, expressed their emotions, and conveyed sincere thanks for the care and attention of the Committee’s leadership. They pledged to continue striving, studying, and working with dedication, thereby contributing to the growth and development of the Farmers’ Affairs Committee.

 

On this occasion, on behalf of the VNFU Party Committee and VNFU Central Committee, Vice - Chairman Pham Tien Nam presented gifts and extended best wishes to the relatives of fallen heroes, war invalids, and wounded veterans currently serving at the Farmers’ Affairs Committee.
