Standing Committee of the Vietnam Farmers’ Union meets with the Vietnamese Farmers Parade and Marching Delegation ahead of the 80th National Day Celebration
According to Mr. Luong Quoc Doan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers’ Union (VNFU) - the Farmers’ Union’s officials and farmers participating in the Vietnamese Farmers Parade and Marching Delegation at the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2) will carry with them a profound sense of honor and pride in being part of a historic and momentous national event.

On the morning of August 12, at the Vietnam National University of Agriculture in Gia Lam, Hanoi, the VNFU Standing Committee held a meeting with members of the Vietnamese Farmers Parade and Marching Delegation ahead of the grand ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of National Day.
Attending the meeting with the Vietnamese Farmers Parade and Marching Delegation was Mr. Luong Quoc Doan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Party Secretary, and Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the VNFU.
Also in attendance were Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dinh. - Vice Chairman of the VNFU, Leaders of the Farmers’ Affairs Department and Hanoi Farmers’ Union.
According to Ms. Pham Hai Hoa, Chairwoman of the Hanoi Farmers’ Union, the Vietnamese Farmers Parade and Marching Delegation consists of 180 Farmers’ Union’s (FU’s) officials and farmers from four communes in Hanoi: Gia Lam, Phu Dong, Thuan An, and Bat Trang. They will represent more than 10.2 million farmers nationwide at the grand parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day.
The average age of the members in the Parade and Marching Delegation is 37 years, with females averaging 38 and males 36. The youngest group, born in 2007 (18 years old), includes 22 members; while the oldest member was born in 1974 (51 years old, male).

Prior to the event, local government authorities collaborated closely with the Farmers’ Union to hold meetings aimed at motivating the parade and marching members. These meetings vividly showcased the collective spirit of the Vietnamese Farmers Parade and Marching Delegation, highlighting their unwavering determination, solidarity, discipline, and rigorous preparation. Each member fully recognized the responsibility of representing Hanoi’s farming community as well as the broader national peasantry in order to contribute meaningfully to the success of the 80th Anniversary Commemoration of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
“This is not only a key political task but also a great honor and responsibility for the FU’s officials and farmers of Hanoi, who represent the entire nation’s peasantry in this special political and historic event,” emphasized Ms. Hoa.
Visiting and encouraging the officials and members of the Vietnamese Farmers Parade and Marching Delegation, Mr. Luong Quoc Doan announced that the 80th Anniversary Celebration of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 will be held on the largest scale ever. The event will see participation from the military, police forces, and diverse social classes, including women and farmers.

Therefore, the FU’s officials and farmers of the Vietnamese Farmers Parade and Marching Delegation participating in the 80th Anniversary Celebration of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 will carry with them a profound honor and pride in being part of this historic and monumental event for the nation.
On behalf of the VNFU Standing Committee, Mr. Luong Quoc Doan conveyed his full confidence and entrusted the Vietnamese Farmers Parade and Marching Delegation to serve as a truly exemplary contingent representing the FU’s officials and farmers nationwide at the 80th Anniversary Celebration of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
When every citizen, especially FU’s officials and members of the across the country, witnesses the Vietnamese Farmers Parade and Marching Delegation, they will feel a deep pride in their role throughout the nation’s history as well as in today’s era of renewal and integration.
Mr. Luong Quoc Doan called on the Vietnamese Farmers Parade and Marching Delegation to make every effort in their training, overcome difficulties, and demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility to successfully fulfill the task entrusted to them.

The Vietnamese Farmers Parade and Marching Delegation must form an exemplary formation that leaves an impression during this historic moment for the nation and the people.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dinh, Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of the VNFU, stated that the Vietnamese Farmers Parade and Marching Delegation has received close attention, leadership, and direction from the VNFU Standing Committee from the very beginning. As a result, 180 FU’s officials and farmers were carefully selected based on their physical appearance, health, discipline, and strong sense of responsibility.
According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dinh, in order to successfully fulfill their role in the parade and marching commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, the Vietnamese Farmers Parade and Marching Delegation must demonstrate a strong sense of discipline and organization. Through this, they will embody the image of the Vietnamese farmer as “Creative – Knowledgeable – Professional – Cultured – Modern,” confidently stepping into a new era — the era of national advancement.
